MYOB Certified Consultants are professionally endorsed individuals who
have demonstrated a high level of knowledge, skill and experience with
MYOB products. To be admitted as an MYOB Certified Consultant, they
must meet stringent selection criteria and submit to an annual
assessment of their skills, where the pass rate must exceed 80%. In
addition, they must demonstrate the completion of a minimum of 20 hours
professional development each year.
Once admitted, MYOB Certified Consultants receive a continual flow of
information, resources and knowledge from MYOB to ensure that they are
up-to-date with the latest product developments, tips and techniques.
The skills and experience which are necessary to become an accredited
MYOB Certified Consultant include:
- A high level of proficiency using MYOB software, which including payroll,
time billing and inventory management.
- Practical experience installing, supporting and training in MYOB.
- A thorough working knowledge of bookkeeping and/or accounting which
is required to assist users in structuring and customising MYOB
software to the individual needs of each user.
- A thorough understanding of the Apple macintosh and/or Microsoft
Windows operating systems. This includes such areas as file
management, backup, restoring and Email and Internet usage.
- An advanced working knowledge of other applications used with MYOB
software, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
The business of every MYOB Certified Consultant is listed on he MYOB
Website and their names are also in the Certified Consultant Listing
booklet included in all MYOB accounting software releases.
They also have exclusive access to the MYOB Certified Consultant web
site, a dedicated MYOB Certified Consultant discussion and support
forum and have access to free Technical Support.
